The association is looking for volunteers to serve as the Treasurer and as the Membership Director. If you are interested in serving, contact the Commodore for details.
BoatUS - This year, add an additional item to your spring commissioning checklist: ensuring your portable onboard fire extinguishers meet new regulations set by the U.S. Coast
Guard that went into effect on April 20, 2022.
In a nutshell, if any disposable (nonrechargeable) fire extinguisher has a date of manufacture stamped on the bottle and it is older than 12 years, the extinguisher is now considered expired, must be removed from service and replaced.
As Commodore, and on behalf of the Board of Directors, I want to say hello and welcome you to our website. The Association was formed in 2021 when the International Catalina 400/445 Association, the International Catalina 42/425 Association and the International Catalina 440 Association merged.
The Association is an important part of the Catalina community, providing social, technical and educational opportunities for its members.
There is always an instant and easy camaraderie and pride among Catalina owners beyond the boats and cruising plans. Most of us have previously had one or more smaller boats, have been sailing a long time and have enjoyed other boating associations.
The purpose of the Association is:
We welcome you to join the Association, your contributions will help greatly in the success of our Association. We value our members and want you to feel like a part of our sailing family.
As a member you will automatically receive a subscription to the Catalina owners' magazine MainSheet, of which we are justifiably proud. We will send occasional mailings as well, including miscellaneous announcements and registration forms for Association meetings, rendezvouz and regattas.
Feel free to contact us at any time for any information you need. We are always eager to help. We are receptive to new ideas and would be happy to hear from you. Don't hesitate to contact any of us by way of our email addresses in this C4S website!
